Sarah has full membership with EMDR Association of Australia. She has 13 years of experience as a Social Worker, providing therapeutic counselling services and has extensive experience working with adults in the trauma space. Sarah has worked in a variety of government settings including Health and Child Protection. She has worked in The space of the Intensive Care unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and has also been an On-Call trauma counsellor within SA Health. Sarah is a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) practitioner and her other training undertaken includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Sarah is the Owner and Director of Woodville Mental Health Counselling Service and counselling can take place in person, via phone or internet. She has a commitment to offer counselling that is compassionate, attuned, holistic and safe. She focuses on empowerment and cooperative self-determination. Her therapeutic approach is flexible and adapted to the individual. Outside of work, she is an animal lover and enjoys spending time with family. She also enjoys connecting with nature, camping, road trips and fishing. Sarah sees adults and specialises in: anxiety (and avoidance), worries and stress , depression, low self-esteem and sadness , emotional dysregulation, feelings of frustration , trauma, difficult life events, grief and loss and overwhelm. She supports domestic violence victims and provided support with family court stressors Sarah is passionate about working alongside people to develop their own strengths, skills and strategies so these challenges have much less impact on them and so they can focus on the things in life that are most meaningful to them. Sarah provides internet, phone or face to face counselling. 60 minute Consultation $180 minus $85 Medicare Rebate = $100 out of pocket cost. 60 minute Consultation concession card holder $130 minus $85 Medicare Rebate=$45 out of pocket cost.
